Consultation has concluded

The Rural City of Murray Bridge is conducting public consultation on the Monarto Master Plan.

he Council has been undertaking a Master Planning exercise which aims to provide a longer term view of the potential growth and development of Monarto.

The Master Plan is a high level document; it is not aimed at providing the detail required to assess a proposal but rather to identify proposals that may be appropriate within an area and provide guidance as to what investigations are required for this proposal to be successful.

The Master Plan also provides a vision for Monarto, which involves:

  1. Protection and enhancement of native vegetation and wildlife corridors;
  2. Planning for long term economic development;
  3. Managing impacts of developments; and
  4. Improving local amenity through place making and streetscape improvements

An information sheet summarising the Monarto Master Plan, a copy of the full Monarto Master Plan and copies of the working papers which underpin the Monarto Master Plan can be found on the right hand side of this page in the Document Library.

Should you wish to provide a comment on the Monarto Master Plan, please send them in writing to, Monarto Master Plan, c/o Rural City of Murray Bridge, PO Box 421, SA 5253, by Friday 2 December 2016. Alternatively, please send your email to: DPAsubmissions@murraybridge.sa.gov.au
