Consultation has concluded
Council has resolved to undertake public consultation on the Council’s Draft Riverfront Strategy. This Strategy has been prepared over the last five months and included some public consultation during the drafting phase before Christmas.
The Riverfront Strategy attempts to bring together as much of the previous work undertaken by the Council (and others) as possible and then to answer the key questions around “What goes where?”, “What work packages are needed to achieve the riverfront we want?” and “How much will it cost?”. The lessons learned will be transferrable not just to the remaining stretches of the Murray River outside the study area, but also to other Murray River towns across South Australia.

Once the public consultation period ends, the comments made will then be collated and reported to Council, who may choose to make changes to the draft Strategy prior to adopting it.
