Consultation has concluded

The first Annual Business Plan that responds to the Council’s newly adopted Community Plan 2016-2032 and Strategic Plan 2016-2020 is available for your consideration and feedback.

The Annual Business Plan and Budget for 2016-17 details how Council plans to allocate to fund programs, projects and services responsive to our community’s aspirations.

It includes funding for:

  • construction work to revitalise Sixth Street, Murray Bridge;

  • the beautification of our town entrances;

  • an exciting events program to attract visitors;

  • commencing work on the river front;

  • development of playgrounds;

  • establishing boat ramps; and,

  • improving our engagement with the community

These are all projects that our community told us would work towards making the Rural City of Murray Bridge great.

Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget 2016-17

The budget has been developed in response to a series of specific parameters, these include:

  • value for money;

  • a positive operating position;

  • a modest increase in rates;

  • an asset sustainability ratio no less than 100%; and

  • an increase in capital enhancement projects.

Let us know your thoughts: consultation takes place between 10 May 2016 and 31 May 2016 with a public meeting to be held on 6 June, 2016 at 5.30pm, at the Local Government Centre, where you can personally provide Council with your feedback.
