What is a Community Plan?

The Community Plan sets out the strategic direction for the long term future of the Rural City of Murray Bridge. It is built by listening to and working with members of the community. It develops goals to guide all sections of the community to ensure they work together to achieve their aspirations.

    A Community Plan:

    • relies on community input

    • articulates a vision for the future and identifies key themes and areas for action

    • provides information for the development of Council’s Strategic Plan and service delivery

How can I contribute to the development of a Community Plan?

Your opinions on this project are essential and we invite you to share your ideas and comments by:

    • Attending and providing feedback at one of several community forums

    • Inviting us to attend one of your community meetings

    • Registering on the Council’s website to allow you to provide information and receive feedback on our progress

    • Check out our calendar of events and find a pop-up let’s talk station that you can visit – you will find us at some sports events, shopping malls, the library, gallery and maybe even Sturt Reserve

    • Complete a survey that can be found on our website

    • Provide us with photographs of what you like in the Rural City of Murray Bridge and/or what you don’t

….or even provide your thoughts in writing by email or letter

What consultation has been undertaken so far?

A telephone survey of a sample of 650 residents (statistically valid) was conducted in April 2015 to gain a broad understanding of the community’s satisfaction with Council’s Service Delivery

Where can I view the research that has been conducted?

The Customer Satisfaction Survey Report can be found on the Council website.

How will the feedback be used / considered?

All public comments will be considered and therefore will influence the final plan. Council is looking for all types of feedback - positive, negative and informative - from all interested parties. This is your chance to be a part of the conversation!

We will be publishing monthly updates in the Murray Valley Standard, issuing fortnightly updates to those on our mailing list
