THE COMMUNITY Centre in the heart of Murray Bridge hosting yoga, art classes, veggie gardening, and a range of community services, is seeking a new lease for the next ten years with the community’s blessing.

Pursuant to Section 202 (2) of the Local Government Act 1999 and in accordance with the Council’s Public Consultation Policy, the Council seeks written submissions from interested persons concerning the proposed Memorandum of Lease for the Murray Bridge Community Centre Inc.
Public comment is invited to help Council negotiate a lease for the period of 10 years (5+5) which will recognise the needs of the community and the Murray Bridge Community Centre Inc

The Rural City of Murray Bridge is holding a public consultation to gauge community appetite for the continued operation of the Murray Bridge Community Centre at the current location on Beatty Terrace.
The Community Centre has been operating from the Beatty Terrace site under a lease arrangement with The Rural City of Murray Bridge for more than 15 years, and is now seeking a new lease for another 10.

The Murray Bridge Community Centre is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, driven by volunteers, which offers a range of inclusive and accessible services and activities that encourage self-development, personal growth, and connection.
This includes short courses, social events, legal and financial assistance services, along with free food, and the provision of shower and laundry services for homeless people.
