Consultation has concluded
Community gardens provide a valuable
recreation activity that contributes to health and wellbeing, social
connectedness and interaction, environmental education and sustainable living
practices.
The Rural City of Murray Bridge is
supportive of community gardens and Council has developed a Community Gardens
Policy.
The purpose of the Community Gardens
Policy is to ensure community gardens in the Rural City of Murray Bridge are
based on best practice and will benefit communities across the City.
A copy of the Draft Community
Gardens Policy is located in the documents section to the right of this page, Council’s website www.murraybridge.sa.gov.au/PublicConsultation or you can
ask to see a hard copy at the Local Government Centre or the
Murray Bridge Library.
Written comments on the Draft
Community Gardens Policy can be addressed to Council by 5pm on Friday 16
December, addressed to: PO Box 421, Murray Bridge, SA 5253.
