Consultation has concluded.
The Rural City of Murray Bridge recognises what is happening in your neighbourhood is important to you. With this in mind, the Council ensures that the local community is given the opportunity to find out about any policy changes that might affect you or your business and provide you with an opportunity to let us know what you think.
Council has been presented with unsolicited proposals over recent years and found itself without a clear policy to assist it making reasoned decisions. Such a policy may also encourage proponents to come forward with great ideas that would complement the Council’s strategic aspirations.
The DRAFT Unsolicited Proposal Policyseeks to bring together best practice from the LGA, Adelaide City Council and the City of Tea Tree Gully and to reflect this on the local circumstances affecting the Rural City of Murray Bridge.
The delivery of a policy will secure a consistent and robust approach to the handling of Unsolicited Proposals, which will assist the Council in managing the process and protecting the Council’s own risks. It also provides a clear mechanism for proponents to see what they can expected from a Council that is open for business and seeking partners to help deliver its strategic objectives.
It should also be noted that to fall under the scope of this policy, the proposal must be in excess of $50,000.
The policy is available for viewing on the right hand side of this page. Hard copies are also available at the Local Government Centre, 2 Seventh Street, Murray Bridge and the Murray Bridge Library Level 2, 51 South Terrace, Murray Bridge.
