Consultation has concluded
The Rural City of Murray Bridge is considering a proposal to change the name of Jubilee Park to Jubilee Rotary Park to recognise the contribution of the Rotary Club of Mobilong towards this Park
The Rotary Club of Mobilong has been a major contributor to the Murray Bridge community for forty years, the service club has worked with the Rural City of Murray Bridge on a range of community projects including revegetation on Adelaide Road, a BBQ shelter in Homburg Park and portable structure in the Bremer Road Cemetery. They are now working in collaboration with Council on the upgrade of Jubilee Park, as part of the Swanport Road Masterplan; assisting with the provision of outdoor furniture, shading and environmental improvements.
There is only one reserve named in recognition of a service club within the Rural City of Murray Bridge, that being Apex Park and Ridge Road Reserve and in keeping with this theme and in accordance with Council policy, we are seeking public comment on renaming the park Jubilee Rotary Park.”
