Consultation has concluded

Council would like community feedback on a proposal for a Through Road Closure for Lovers Lane as part of a Rural Living subdivision application.

Tynday Pty Ltd has lodged a development application (415/D016/19) for Lot 29 Lovers Lane, Swanport Heights. The application is a Torrens title land division seeking approval to create 38 allotments for rural living. The concept plan requires Lovers Lane to be closed to prevent the flow of through traffic, to and from Jervois Road. The development would have a notable impact on Lovers Lane which is currently an unsealed public road. The applicant agreed to seal Loves Lane and provide kerbing along the Southern side to facilitate the development.

Pursuant to Section 32 of the Road Traffic Act 1961 and in accordance with the Council’s Public Consultation Policy the Council seeks written submissions from interested persons regarding the closure of Lovers Lane, Swanport, as a through road for motor vehicles.

Copies of the Lovers Lane “through road closure” are available in the Document Library of the right of this page.
