Reviewing the community owned building lease on a regular basis is a legislative requirement, to ensure the Council facility is being used appropriately. We are looking for an arrangement that would work for the community and Club alike - pun intended. In all seriousness though, we have a range of buildings suitable for clubrooms and other community activities and we want to see those spaces being used for activities that are meaningful and important to our residents.
The Murrayland Woodworkers are an amazing group who like to get together to share wood working skills, create art and functional objects. Their group forms part of the rich tapestry that our Thriving Communities are made of.
The Murrayland Woodworkers meet at 10am on the first and third Saturday of the month in the Johnstone Park clubrooms, off Adelaide Road, Murray Bridge. The meetings are described as a great social environment where people can share ideas, learn new skills, watch demonstrations in wood turning, scroll sawing, pyrography (wood burning) and other wood working activities.
Council would like to hear your feedback on the proposed lease.
