The Rural City of Murray Bridge has developed a plan to ensure current assets are serviced and maintained in a sustainable way.
The Draft Water Supply and Waste Water Asset Management Plan provides the framework to deliver optimum operation performance of the Council's water supply and waste water assets at the lowest lifecycle cost and to agreed levels of service.
For the purposes of this plan, water supply and waste water assets are:
* pipes and rising mains - water supply and sewer
* pumps
* filtration plant
* sub water meters
* communications modules
* tanks
* valves, pits and inspection points
* treatment facilities
Council's vision is to maintain assets "forever" at a cost the community can afford.
The Draft Water Supply and Waste Water Asset Management Plan 2017-2021 is a strategic plan that provides a roadmap for Council to achieve this goal.
The plan is now available for the community to view.
Public Consultation opens Thursday 6 April 2017 and closes Thursday 27 April 2017.
