River Recreation

Consultation has concluded

Council is currently reviewing the way it supports and manages water-based recreation activities including skiing, wake boarding, yachting, canoeing, kayaking, rowing, swimming, fishing, house boating and other major events that occur on the river.

We want to know what activities you do on the river, when and where you do them, what facilities you need to support those activities, what currently works well and what could be improved.

We also want to know what other land-based recreation activities you do in riverfront reserves.

The goal is to create a strategic approach to opening up the river and creating opportunities for people to connect with nature and we would like to know your thoughts via a survey prior to developing a draft Management Plan with findings and recommendations for further consultation and feedback

You can access the survey here. It should take around 5 minutes to complete.
