There is a further opportunity to provide feedback on the Silo Art project, located on the Viterra Silos on Railway Terrace, Murray Bridge.
Internationally celebrated Australian contemporary artist Sam Bates, known in the industry as ‘Smug’, has been selected to paint the mural and his design concept is currently being developed with the Council and the community.
You now have a further opportunity to have a say on the artist’s concept for the artwork. View the fact sheet here.
‘A Moment on the Murray’, is the artist’s concept, depicting a father/grandfather and daughter/granddaughter fishing on the river, with the bridge in the distance, showing river birds and wildlife honouring Ngarrindjeri totems and also referencing the historical river crossing for cattle, known as Edwards Crossing.
We invite comments and suggestions that will assist artist SMUG to refine the concept of ‘A Moment on the Murray’ as he develops the detail of the imagery for the mural.
You can provide your feedback on the artist's concept by below.
Consultation closes on Tuesday 12 April 2022
