The Rural City of Murray Bridge is proud to host the 2017 Spring Garden Competition.
It may be the middle of winter, but now is the time to pull on the gardening gloves and get the greenery growing. With nine different categories to enter, there is something for everyone.
The Spring Garden Competition is open to all gardeners in the Rural City of Murray Bridge and is a great opportunity to showcase the results of your hard work and creative flair in the garden.
This competition promotes the beautification of our City and Region, showcases local gardening talent and fosters community pride. If you have a green thumb, then this is the competition for you.
Creative and well-tended garden entries are invited from a wide variety of landscapes including traditional back gardens, courtyards, balconies, corporate green-spaces, community gardens and school yards.
Entries for the 2017 Spring Garden Competition will close 22 September. Judging will take place 9 October to 20 October 2017 and winners in competition categories will be awarded a prize at an awards ceremony to be held on 30 October 2017.
All gardens will be judged on design and layout, plant selection, plant health and maintenance and water saving measures used in the garden.
Entering the competition is easy with entry forms and guidelines available at the Local Government Centre and the Library or download a copy from the Document Library on the right of this page.
